Case IH 10009 – Front Suspension Control Module or ADIC: Lower lockout solenoid error

The system has detected an electrical fault—such as an open circuit, short to ground, or short to power—in the circuit controlling the lower lockout solenoid.

   Inspect the wiring harness leading to the lower lockout solenoid (connector X508, light brown/tan wires) for chafing, corrosion, or disconnected pins.

   Ensure that the connectors for the lower lockout solenoid and the upper/raise lockout solenoid have not been accidentally swapped during previous maintenance.

   Use a multimeter to test the solenoid coil for proper resistance to rule out an internal open or short circuit.

   Look for accompanying codes, such as 10024 (Front suspension not calibrated) or pressure transducer errors (10010, 10011), which may indicate a broader suspension calibration or sensor issue.

   Locate the Solenoid

   Locate the front suspension hydraulic valve block. Depending on the exact model, this is typically mounted on the front left-hand side of the engine chassis or the right-hand side top of the transmission.

   Relieve Pressure

   Safely support the front of the tractor and relieve all hydraulic pressure from the front suspension system before loosening any hydraulic components.

   Disconnect Electricals

   Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the lower lockout solenoid.

   Remove and Replace

   Unthread the faulty lower lockout solenoid cartridge/coil from the valve block. Lubricate the O-rings on the new solenoid with clean hydraulic fluid and install it into the block.

   Reassemble

   Reconnect the electrical harness.

   Calibrate

   Clear the fault codes using a diagnostic tool. You must perform the front suspension calibration procedure to restore full functionality and ensure the suspension returns to its set point.
