10024 - UCM

Case IH 10024 - UCM – UCM: Front suspension not calibrated

Issue description

The control module has lost the stored parameters for the upper and lower limits of the front axle suspension travel, or the physical travel range is out of sync with the stored values.

Applies to these machines

  • VESTRUM CVX
  • Puma 165
  • Puma 180
  • Puma 195
  • Puma 210
  • Puma 225

  • MXM 155
  • MXM 175
  • MXM 190

Check the cause

  1. Check for accompanying fault codes indicating sensor failures (e.g., 10025–10029 for pressure/position sensors, 145, 150, or 141). If present, calibration will fail.

  2. Test the potentiometer position sensor (under the front left of the tractor) with a voltmeter to ensure it sweeps smoothly without dead spots.

  3. Verify that the rod side and piston side pressure sensors are reading accurately and not stuck at a default value (e.g., stuck at 60 kPa).

  4. Ensure the transmission/hydraulic oil is at the correct operating temperature (typically between 60°C - 105°C) before attempting calibration.

Repair steps

  1. Clear Stored Memory

On certain models (like the MXM series), use the H8 routine in the H-Menu to clear the non-volatile memory (EEPROM) to erase persistent error codes that might block the calibration process.

  2. Run the Calibration Cycle

Enter the tractor's calibration menu via the instrument cluster or diagnostic tool and initiate the front suspension calibration routine. The tractor will automatically raise and lower the front axle to learn the maximum and minimum travel limits.

  3. Address Calibration Failures

If the calibration fails or the axle constantly settles and raises, check for a failed accumulator, a bad pressure sensor, or a sticking suspension control valve.

  4. Replace Faulty Components

If a sensor or accumulator is found to be faulty during the diagnostic checks, replace it and re-run the calibration cycle.
