Case IH 10030 – HITCH / ARM: Loss of Hitch Calibration Data

This code indicates a controller memory failure. The system cannot read the stored calibration values due to an EEPROM failure or data corruption. The controller has lost the specific calibration parameters required to operate the hitch correctly.

   Verify power supply and ground connections directly to the Hitch/Armrest controller.

   Inspect connectors (e.g., connector C058) to ensure a clean, tight connection to the battery and proper grounding.

   Check for intermittent voltage drops or loose ground wires that could cause the controller to lose its volatile memory.

   Resolve electrical faults

   If any loose grounds or corroded power connections were found during the diagnostic checks, repair them first.

   Re-calibrate the hitch

   Enter the tractor's diagnostic/calibration menu and perform the full Hitch Controller Calibration procedure. Ensure the engine is running at the specified RPM (usually above 1600 RPM) and the tractor is stationary, as movement or low RPM will abort the calibration and throw secondary codes.

   Verify calibration

   Cycle the key power and test the hitch operation to see if the calibration data holds.

   Replace the controller

   If the hitch calibration procedure fails, or if the 10030 fault code immediately returns after a successful calibration and key cycle, the controller's internal EEPROM has permanently failed. The Hitch Controller or Armrest Controller must be replaced and programmed by a dealer.
