Case IH 10032 – Instrumentation Controller (INST) or Performance Monitor Controller (PERF): Controller Memory Error - Loss of Vehicle Configuration information

The controller has suffered a memory defect or an intermittent power/ground failure, causing it to lose its saved vehicle configuration parameters, stored error codes, or service interval data.

   Verify power and ground connections to the instrumentation/performance controller. Check main connectors (CN2, C061, or C062) for corrosion, backed-out pins, or loose grounds.

   Access the instrumentation controller display and verify that the tractor model configuration is correct. Ensure the 'ST MODEL' parameter is set to your exact tractor model number.

   Secure Connections

   Clean and re-secure the battery power and ground harness connections to the Instrumentation/Performance controller.

   Reconfigure / Calibrate

   Use the instrumentation display (or a dealer service tool) to perform a controller configuration. Reset the vehicle configuration parameters, service limits, or ST MODEL settings to their correct values.

   Clear the Code

   Clear the fault code 10032 from the system memory.

   Power Cycle

   Shut down the tractor completely, wait a few moments, and restart the engine.

   Evaluate

   If the fault code 10032 does not return, the issue was a temporary voltage drop or glitch. If the exact same fault code appears again immediately upon restart, the controller's internal EEPROM/memory is permanently defective.

   Replace

   Replace the Instrumentation Controller or Performance Monitor.
