Case IH 10033 – CCM (Chassis Control Module): Rod pressure sensor range high fault

This fault code indicates that the pressure sensor monitoring the rod side of the front suspension cylinder is returning a signal (voltage or pressure reading) that is higher than the maximum expected range.

• Magnum series (e.g., 180-240, 210, 235-340)
• Puma series (e.g., 180-260 CVT)
• Farmall CVT

   Inspect the wiring harness leading to the rod pressure sensor for any shorts to power, shorts to ground, or open circuits.

   Access the tractor's diagnostic menu or calibration screen to check the displayed sensor/potentiometer reading in real-time. Verify if the value is stuck at a maximum threshold.

   Check the 3-pin electrical connector at the sensor for corrosion, moisture, or damaged pins, which can cause high resistance or shorting.

   Relieve Pressure

   Ensure the tractor is parked on a level surface, the engine is off, and the front suspension pressure is safely relieved before opening any hydraulic lines.

   Repair Wiring

   If the diagnostic checks reveal a damaged harness or connector, repair the wiring or replace the 3-pin connector pigtail.

   Replace the Sensor

   If the wiring is intact but the fault persists, the rod pressure sensor itself has failed internally and must be replaced. Remove the old sensor from the front suspension manifold/cylinder and install the new one.

   Recalibrate

   After replacing the sensor, perform the APH Front Suspension Calibration procedure to ensure the CCM recognizes the new sensor's baseline values.
