Depending on the module and generation, code 1016 indicates either a 'Not implemented' software glitch in the Hitch Controller, a PTO ON switch wire connection open circuit, or a L/H load sensing pin signal that is too low.

   For 'Not implemented' Hitch code: Connect the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the diagnostic port and check if the code is Active or Stored/Pending.

   For 'Not implemented' Hitch code: Verify the tractor's configuration settings in the AFS Pro display or EST to ensure the Hitch controller is programmed for the exact options physically installed.

   For 'Not implemented' Hitch code: Check the CNH portal for any available software updates or service bulletins for the Hitch controller.

   For PTO Switch code: Inspect the wiring harness between the Armrest controller and the PTO switch for broken wires or loose pins, and test the PTO ON switch for continuity.

   For Load Sensing Pin code: Check the left-hand (L/H) draft/load sensing pin wiring for shorts to ground or open circuits, and back-probe the connector to verify voltage.
