Case IH 1030 – Armrest Controller (ACM) or AUX (Auxiliary Remote) Controller: Aux 1st remote valve Timer Switch is failed in the Armrest Controller or not available due to bad Configuration

The system is either not receiving a valid electrical signal from the timer switch (potentiometer) that controls the flow duration for the first auxiliary hydraulic remote, or the software configuration in the controller does not match the physical hardware installed on the tractor.

   Check system configuration using the tractor's display monitor or diagnostic service tool to verify that the armrest is properly configured for the correct number of remote valves and timer functions.

   Remove the armrest console cover and inspect the wiring harness connecting the 1st remote valve timer switch to the Armrest Controller. Look for pinched wires, loose connector pins, or corrosion.

   Use a multimeter to test the 1st remote timer switch for proper resistance/voltage sweep. Check for open circuits or shorts to ground/power.

   Check for related codes (e.g., AUX 11011/11012 for the mode lever, or AUX 11061/11062 for the flow potentiometer) which might indicate a shared ground issue or a broader failure within the 1st remote switch pod.

   Reconfigure the Controller

   If the diagnostic check reveals a configuration error, navigate to the 'H' menu mode routine (diagnostics menu) or use the electronic service tool to recalibrate and reconfigure the Armrest Controller to recognize the 1st remote timer switch.

   Disconnect Power

   If physical repair is needed, turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Access the Switch

   Remove the retaining screws on the armrest control console to access the underside of the electro-hydraulic remote switch pods.

   Replace the Switch/Pod

   Disconnect the electrical connector from the 1st remote timer switch. If the switch failed the multimeter test, remove the faulty switch assembly from the armrest bezel and install the new one. (Note: On many modern Case IH armrests, the timer, flow, and lever switches for a single remote are integrated into a single replaceable pod).

   Repair Wiring

   If the switch tested fine but the harness is damaged, repair the broken wires or replace the affected armrest sub-harness.

   Reassemble and Calibrate

   Reconnect the wiring, reassemble the armrest console, and reconnect the battery. Turn the key on, clear the stored fault codes, and test the 1st remote timer function to ensure the code does not return.
