Case IH 1044-02 - DEC – DEC: Transmission Hydraulic Pump / Motor - Erratic, intermittent, or incorrect data
Issue description
The controller is receiving an implausible, erratic, or intermittent signal regarding the transmission hydraulic pump/motor's operation or status.
Applies to these machines
3 machines- MAGNUM AFS Connect
- AFS Connect Magnum Tractors (Models 180, 200, 220, 240, 250, 280, 310, 340, 380)

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness and connections between the Transmission Hydraulic Pump/Motor sensors and the Driveline Electronic Control (DEC) module for loose connections, corrosion, or chafing.
Verify the DEC module software version, as updates (e.g., version 1.3.0.0 or 1.8.0.0) may be required to resolve driveline control logic issues.
Inspect the transmission hydraulic filters, bypass switches, and restriction switches for restrictions that could cause erratic pump operation.
Repair steps
Repair or replace wiring
Repair or replace damaged wiring harnesses between the pump sensors and the DEC.
Update software
Flash/update the DEC module with the latest OEM software.
Replace components
Replace the transmission hydraulic pump sensor or the pump itself if internal mechanical failure is causing erratic data.
