Case IH 107 – Armrest Controller: Aux 5th remote valve control switch (Retract) is failed in the Armrest Controller
Issue description
The system has detected an electrical failure (such as an open circuit, short circuit, or out-of-range voltage) specifically on the "Retract" circuit of the switch that controls the 5th auxiliary hydraulic remote valve.

Check the cause
Inspect the 5th remote valve switch for physical damage, sticking, or debris preventing it from returning to the neutral position.
Test the switch contacts with a multimeter for an open circuit or a short to ground when the switch is pressed into the 'Retract' position.
Inspect the wiring harness connecting the switch to the Armrest Controller, specifically checking Connector C137 for proper seating, bent pins, or corrosion.
Verify that the Armrest Controller is receiving proper power and ground by checking the data bus wires (cavities 4 and 5) and power/ground wires (cavities 11 and 12).
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts during disassembly.
Access the Switch
Remove the retaining screws and lift the armrest control panel cover to access the underside of the remote valve switches/levers.
Disconnect the Switch
Unplug the electrical harness connector specifically routed to the 5th remote valve switch.
Replace the Component
If the switch failed the continuity test, remove the faulty rocker switch or lever assembly from the panel and snap/bolt the new OEM switch into place. If the switch tested fine but the wiring harness is damaged, repair the broken wire or replace the armrest sub-harness. If both the switch and wiring are good, the Armrest Controller itself has an internal failure and must be replaced.
Reassembly
Reconnect the switch harness, reinstall the armrest panel, and reconnect the battery.
Calibration
Turn the key on and clear the fault codes. Depending on the tractor model, you may need to navigate to the "Hitch/Remote Menu" on the display to perform an Armrest Controller Calibration so the system recognizes the new switch limits.
