11011

Case IH 11011 – AUX67 or AUX89: 1st remote MODE LEVER potentiometer is failed low.

Issue description

This indicates that the voltage signal coming from the potentiometer inside the armrest control lever (for the #1 hydraulic remote valve) has dropped below the acceptable minimum threshold. This is typically caused by an internal failure of the lever's potentiometer, an open circuit, or a short to ground in the wiring.

Applies to these machines

  • STX Steiger
  • Magnum Series
  • Steiger / Quadtrac Series
  • Puma Series
  • Maxxum Series

Check the cause

  1. Attempt to recalibrate the EHR levers using the tractor's A-post display or Pro700 monitor to see if the lever can complete calibration.

  2. Perform a connector swap test by swapping the electrical connector of the #1 remote lever with the #2 remote lever. If the fault code changes to the #2 lever (e.g., 11021), the lever is faulty. If it remains 11011, the issue is in the wiring or controller.

  3. Inspect the wiring harness connecting the armrest to the auxiliary controller for pinched wires, chafing, or loose connector pins.

Repair steps

  1. Disconnect battery

Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery ground cable to prevent electrical shorts.

  2. Remove armrest cover

Remove the armrest control console cover to expose the remote valve lever assemblies.

  3. Disconnect lever connector

Locate the #1 remote lever and disconnect its electrical pigtail connector.

  4. Remove mounting hardware

Remove the mounting screws/hardware securing the lever assembly to the armrest bracket.

  5. Replace lever assembly

Remove the faulty lever and install the new replacement lever assembly.

  6. Secure hardware and reconnect

Secure the mounting screws and plug the electrical connector back into the harness.

  7. Reassemble and reconnect battery

Reinstall the armrest cover and reconnect the battery.

  8. Calibrate EHR lever

Turn the key on and enter the tractor's diagnostic/calibration menu (via the A-post or monitor). You must perform the EHR lever calibration procedure for the new lever to be recognized and function properly.
