Case IH 11071 – Remote Hydraulics Controller (AUX67 or AUX89): 2nd remote FLOW potentiometer is failed low.
Issue description
The signal voltage from the flow control potentiometer for the 2nd auxiliary remote valve has dropped below the minimum acceptable threshold. This typically means the signal wire is shorted to ground, there is an open circuit (broken wire or disconnected plug), or the potentiometer itself has an internal failure.

Check the cause
Visual Inspection: Open the armrest console and inspect the wiring harness leading to the 2nd remote flow potentiometer. Look for pinched, chafed, or broken wires.
Voltage Check: Disconnect the potentiometer and turn the key ON. Verify that the connector is receiving the 5V reference voltage and has a good ground.
Short to Ground Test: Test the signal wire between the potentiometer connector and the Armrest Controller for continuity to ground. If it is shorted to ground, repair the wiring harness.
Component Test: If the wiring is intact, the potentiometer itself is likely faulty (often developing a 'bad spot' in its sweep) and must be replaced.
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes.
Access the Armrest
Remove the retaining screws holding the SCV/remote valve control panel on the armrest console to expose the potentiometers.
Remove the Knob
Pull off the plastic knob from the 2nd remote flow potentiometer.
Remove the Potentiometer
Remove the retaining nut (3/8-32) holding the potentiometer to the mounting bracket.
Disconnect
Unplug the electrical connector from the back of the faulty potentiometer and remove the unit.
Install the New Part
Insert the new potentiometer into the bracket, secure it with the retaining nut, and press the knob back onto the shaft. Reconnect the electrical plug.
Reassemble
Reinstall the armrest control panel and reconnect the battery.
Calibration
Turn the tractor on and use the Pro700 / A-post display (or the Electronic Service Tool) to perform an SCV/Armrest calibration. This ensures the controller learns the minimum and maximum voltage values of the new potentiometer's sweep.
