Case IH 11141 – Remote Hydraulics Controller (AUX67, AUX89, or Armrest Controller): 2nd remote TIMER potentiometer SENSE is failed low.
Issue description
The control module is receiving a voltage signal from the timer adjustment dial (potentiometer) for the 2nd auxiliary remote valve that is below the minimum acceptable threshold (typically near 0 volts). This indicates an open circuit (broken wire), a short to ground in the signal wire, or an internal failure of the potentiometer itself.

Check the cause
Remove the armrest console cover and visually inspect the wiring harness leading to the 2nd remote timer potentiometer for pinched wires, chafing, or disconnected plugs.
Disconnect the plug at the potentiometer and check for bent pins, pushed-out terminals, or corrosion.
Using a multimeter, check the reference voltage and ground at the connector. If the reference voltage is present but the signal wire reads 0V when plugged in, the potentiometer is likely shorted internally.
Perform a component swap test by swapping the electrical connector of the 2nd remote timer potentiometer with the 1st or 3rd remote timer potentiometer. If the fault code changes to the new location (e.g., 11131), the potentiometer is dead. If the code remains 11141, the issue is in the wiring harness or the controller itself.
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts during repair.
Access the Armrest Console
Remove the retaining screws holding the upper housing of the armrest console to expose the underside of the remote valve control levers and timer dials.
Remove the Faulty Potentiometer
Pull the plastic timer control button/knob off the top of the console for the 2nd remote. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the faulty potentiometer. Remove the retaining nut or mounting screws securing the potentiometer to the console plate and pull the unit out.
Install the New Part
Insert the replacement potentiometer, secure it with the retaining hardware, and press the control knob back onto the shaft.
Reconnect
Plug the wiring harness back into the new potentiometer.
Reassemble
Reinstall the armrest console cover and secure all screws.
Calibrate and Clear Codes
Reconnect the battery. Turn the key on and use the tractor's diagnostic display (or the Case IH Electronic Service Tool) to clear the inactive 11141 fault code. You may need to navigate to the "H Menu" (Armrest/Remote Hydraulics Controller calibration) to recalibrate the armrest remote valves so the controller learns the new potentiometer's voltage range.
