Case IH 12014 - EPL – EPL (Electronic Park Lock) Controller: Electrical motor short circuit to power supply

This code indicates that the electronic parking brake system has detected a short circuit to battery voltage (Vbatt) on Phase A or Phase B of the power stage circuit.

   Inspect wiring harness and connectors (X012, X036, X121, X745) for a physical short to battery voltage, damage, or corrosion

   If a short to power is found at connectors X012, X036, X121, or X745, repair the damaged wiring harness or replace the affected connector.

   Clean out any dirt inside the EPL box. If the rubber cap is missing, replace it. If the EPL is rubbing against the fuel lines, install the field-solution damper kit to provide adequate clearance.

   Perform a mechanical adjustment of the parking brake to ensure it is within factory specifications.

   Update the EPL software to Version 3.2 to resolve false self-diagnostic issues that trigger this code.
