Indicates a severe electrical fault in the sensor's circuit. An open circuit means the wiring is broken or disconnected, preventing the signal from reaching the controller. Shorted to battery means the sensor's signal or ground wire is improperly making contact with a live voltage source, overriding the sensor's actual readings.

   Visually inspect the front left wheel speed sensor and its wiring harness for physical damage, cuts, or melting.
