Case IH 12650 – Planter UCM (Universal Control Module): Pneumatic input supply port pressure sensor electrical error
Issue description
The control module is detecting an abnormal analog voltage input from the pneumatic pressure sensor, indicating an above normal voltage or out-of-range signal typically caused by a wiring harness shorted to power or an internal sensor failure.

Check the cause
Harness Inspection: Check the harness connection to the pneumatic pressure sensor to see if it is shorted to power (PWR).
Voltage Test: Use a multimeter to verify the analog input voltage at the UCM to confirm if it is reading above normal parameters.
Sensor Device Test: Isolate the sensor from the harness to determine if the short is in the wiring or if it is a device failure.
Repair steps
Locate sensor
Locate the pneumatic pressure sensor on the implement's pneumatic supply line.
Inspect connector
Disconnect the sensor harness and inspect the connector pins for damage, moisture, or corrosion.
Test wiring harness
Test the wiring harness back to the Planter UCM for a short to power.
Repair or replace wiring
If the harness is shorted, repair or replace the affected wiring section.
Replace sensor
If the harness tests good, the pneumatic pressure sensor has suffered a device failure and must be replaced.
Clear fault codes
Install the new sensor, reconnect the harness, and clear the fault codes from the UCM via the Pro 1200 or AFS Pro display.
