   Trace the air lines from the rear right delivery port back to the valve block. Look for kinks, physical damage, or blockages. In cold climates, check for ice buildup in the lines or exhaust ports.

   Locate the trailer brake control valve block (typically mounted at the rear of the tractor near the air couplings). Inspect the wiring harness and connector going to the backup valve solenoid for corrosion, pushed-out pins, or broken wires.

   Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the valve solenoid coil to ensure it is not shorted or open. Check for proper voltage at the connector when the brakes are commanded.
