Case IH 12813 – ABS/EBS Control Module: Detection of invalid frequency at PWM signal 1 (Brake pedal demand sensor)
Issue description
The control unit has detected an abnormal frequency, pulse width or period coming from the Brake Signal Sensor 1 via PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal 1. The electronic signal being sent by the brake pedal sensor to the computer is erratic, out of the expected range, or corrupted, meaning the system cannot accurately determine how far the brake pedal is being pressed.

Check the cause
Verify the Brake Signal Sensor 1 (Brake pedal demand sensor) for internal failure
Inspect wiring for chafed wires, loose pins, or corrosion in the harness between the brake pedal sensor and the ABS ECU
Check voltage and ground to ensure the sensor is receiving the correct reference voltage and has a solid ground
