Case IH 13014 – Tractor/Transmission Control Module, Planter UCM: Supply Voltage 12VF2 - voltage too low

The control module is detecting that the voltage level at the specific power input circuit designated as "12VF2" has dropped below normal operating parameters. This prevents the module from properly powering the components on that circuit.

   Main Tractor Power: Verify that the voltage level on the main power (PWR) coming from the tractor is not dropping below normal (check batteries and alternator output).

   Relay Operation: Test the PWR control relay located inside the UCM enclosure to determine if it has failed to operate.

   Fuse Inspection: Check "PWR fuse 3" inside the UCM enclosure to see if it is open (blown).

   Wiring Integrity: Check for short circuits or open circuits in the wiring harness supplying the 12VF2 circuit.

   Test battery voltage and inspect connections

   Test the tractor's main battery voltage and inspect the main power connections to the implement/module. Clean and tighten any loose battery terminals.

   Inspect and replace PWR fuse 3

   Open the UCM enclosure and locate PWR fuse 3. If the fuse is open/blown, replace it with a fuse of the exact same amperage rating.

   Test and replace PWR control relay

   Locate the PWR control relay in the UCM enclosure. Test the relay for proper switching operation. If it fails to operate when energized, replace the relay.

   Inspect and repair wiring harness

   Inspect the wiring harness for the 12VF2 circuit for any chafing, shorts to ground, or open breaks. Repair any damaged wiring.

   Clear fault codes and verify voltage

   Clear the fault codes (2603 or 58104) from the display and cycle the power to verify the voltage has returned to normal.
