Case IH 137 – ATC (Automatic Temperature Control) Module: Controller Fault (EEPROM error)

The controller's internal memory (EEPROM) has failed, become corrupted, or cannot be read/written to properly.

   Attempt to clear the fault code from the system to rule out a temporary voltage anomaly.

   Verify that the ATC module is receiving proper and stable voltage by checking the wiring harness, fuses, and ground connections.

   Perform a functionality test to check if the HVAC system is responding to inputs like fan speed and temperature adjustments.

   Disconnect battery

   Disconnect the machine's battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Locate ATC module

   Locate the ATC Control Module (typically located in the cab roof console or behind the right-hand control console, depending on the tractor model).

   Disconnect wiring

   Disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the ATC module.

   Remove module

   Unbolt and remove the faulty ATC module.

   Install replacement

   Install the replacement ATC module and reconnect the wiring harnesses.

   Reconnect battery

   Reconnect the battery.

   Clear fault codes

   Turn the key to the ON position and use the tractor's diagnostic menu to clear any stored fault codes.

   Test HVAC system

   Test the HVAC system to ensure the fan, temperature blend doors, and A/C compressor engage properly. Note: Some replacement modules may require dealer calibration or programming to sync with the tractor's CAN-bus system.
