Case IH 14019 - ADIC – ADIC: ATC Off Line

The instrument controller has detected a loss of communication with the Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) module over the CAN bus data network.

   Check the Fuses: Locate and test the fuse dedicated to the ATC controller.

   Verify Power and Ground: Test the connector at the ATC module to ensure it is receiving proper battery voltage (VBatt) and has a solid ground.

   Inspect the CAN Bus Data Cable: Check the wiring harness between the ATC module and the ADIC/ICU for continuity. Look for chafed wires, open circuits, or bent/corroded pins in the connectors.

   Network Resistance Test: Measure the resistance across the CAN High and CAN Low pins to ensure the data bus is intact (a healthy CAN bus typically reads ~60 ohms).

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery ground to prevent electrical spikes.

   Fuse Replacement

   If the ATC fuse is blown, replace it with a fuse of the exact same amperage rating. Reconnect the battery and turn the key to the ON position to see if the code clears.

   Harness Repair

   If the fuse is intact but wiring damage is found during the diagnostic checks, repair the broken/chafed CAN wires or replace the damaged connector pigtail.

   Module Replacement

   If the wiring, power, and ground are all verified as good but the ATC module still will not communicate, the ATC controller itself has failed internally. Remove the dash/console trim to access the ATC module, unplug the harness, and swap in the replacement module.

   Clear Codes

   Use the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to clear the inactive 14019 fault code from the ADIC/ICU memory and verify that the climate control system functions properly.
