Case IH 14109 – ADIC (Analogue Digital Instrument Cluster) or Transmission Control Module (XCM): Transmission oil pressure sensor not configured

A software and hardware mismatch error indicating the control module is receiving a signal from the transmission oil pressure sensor (or detects its physical presence), but the module's software has not been programmed/configured to recognize that the sensor is installed. (If thrown by the EDC, it can alternatively mean 'Electronic lift present but not configured'.)

   Verify Hardware Presence: Physically inspect the transmission housing to confirm whether a transmission oil pressure sensor is actually installed on the machine.

   Check Wiring and Connectors: Inspect the wiring harness leading to the sensor. A short circuit to voltage or ground can sometimes trick the module into thinking an unconfigured sensor is plugged in and sending data.

   Software Verification: Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to check the current configuration parameters in the ADIC and Transmission modules. Look for the transmission oil pressure sensor setting to see if it is toggled to 'Not Configured' or 'Not Installed'.

   Connect diagnostic tool

   If the issue is strictly a configuration error: Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) laptop to the tractor's diagnostic port.

   Turn ignition ON

   Turn the ignition key to the ON position (engine off).

   Access configuration menus

   Access the ADIC or Transmission Controller configuration menus.

   Locate sensor parameter

   Locate the parameter for the 'Transmission Oil Pressure Sensor.'

   Change parameter status

   Change the parameter status from 'Not Configured' to 'Configured' (or 'Installed').

   Save and reboot

   Save the configuration, exit the software, and cycle the tractor's key power for 30 seconds to allow the modules to reboot.

   Start the tractor and verify the fault code has cleared.

   Prepare for physical replacement

   If the sensor is faulty/shorted and requires physical replacement: Park the tractor on a level surface, turn off the engine, and engage the parking brake.

   Locate the transmission oil pressure sensor on the transmission case (on Maxxum models, this often requires removing a small access panel).

    Clean the area thoroughly around the sensor base to prevent dirt from entering the transmission hydraulic circuit.

    Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.

    Remove old sensor

    Unscrew the old sensor.

    Thread the new sensor into the transmission case and tighten to OEM torque specifications.
