Case IH 14115 – Instrument Cluster or CCM (Cab Control Module) / APH (All Purpose Heavy): Climate controller present but not configured

This fault code indicates a CAN bus configuration mismatch. The system detects that the climate controller (HVAC / Automatic Temperature Control module) is physically present on the network and communicating, but the main controller's software configuration file does not have the climate controller enabled or listed as an installed option.

   Verify that the tractor is equipped with an automatic climate controller (ATC) rather than a manual HVAC system

   Check recent service history to determine if the Instrument Cluster, CCM, or HVAC module was recently replaced or updated, which can cause it to default to a base configuration

   Check battery voltage, as a severe voltage drop or dead battery can cause modules to lose their volatile configuration memory

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) laptop to the tractor's diagnostic port.

   Turn ignition ON

   Turn the ignition key to the ON position to establish communication with the CAN bus.

   Navigate to configuration menu

   Open the EST software and navigate to the configuration menu for the Instrument Cluster or CCM (Cab Control Module).

   Locate ATC setting

   Locate the vehicle options/features list and find the setting for the Climate Controller / ATC (Automatic Temperature Control).

   Change configuration status

   Change the configuration status from "Not Configured" (or "Not Installed") to "Configured" (or "Installed").

   Save the configuration changes to the controller.

   Perform key cycle

   Perform a key cycle (turn the tractor off, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on) to allow the modules to reboot and handshake on the CAN bus.

   Rescan for fault codes to verify that 14115 has changed to an inactive state or cleared completely.
