Case IH 14907 – Gear Display Module: DOG (Gear Display) missing

Indicates a CAN network communication error where the Gear Display Module (DOG) is missing from the network or has lost communication with the rest of the system.

   Inspect the wiring harness leading to the Gear Display Module for physical damage, chafing, or broken wires.

   Check the connectors at the back of the gear display for loose pins, moisture, or corrosion.

   Verify that the Gear Display Module is receiving proper power and ground.

   Test the CAN bus communication lines at the module's connector to ensure network signals are reaching the unit.

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Remove the interior cab trim panels surrounding the instrumentation/gear display panel (DOG) to gain access to the module.

   Disconnect the wiring harness from the Gear Display Module.

   If diagnostic checks (power, ground, and CAN continuity) confirm the wiring is intact, the Gear Display Module has failed internally.

   Remove the mounting hardware and extract the faulty Gear Display Module.

   Install the replacement Gear Display Module and reconnect the wiring harness.

   Reinstall the cab trim panels.

   Reconnect the battery, turn the key to the ON position, and verify that the gear display illuminates and the 14907 fault code is no longer active.

   Note: Some models may require a transmission/clutch calibration procedure after replacing display or control components.
