Case IH 152-04 - IMM – IMM: Unexpected CPU reset. Brownout occurred

The control module experienced a sudden drop in its power supply voltage (a 'brownout'). Because the voltage fell below the minimum threshold required for stable operation, the module's internal processor (CPU) was forced to unexpectedly reboot to protect itself from data corruption.

   Verify that the machine's batteries are fully charged and the alternator is outputting the correct voltage under load

   Test the power supply and ground circuits going directly to the IMM for high resistance, corroded battery terminals, loose ground straps, or a failing power relay

   Inspect the wiring harness connecting to the IMM for chafing, pinched wires, or water intrusion in the connectors that could cause a momentary short to ground

   Monitor the voltage at the IMM connector while wiggling the harness to see if the voltage drops intermittently
