Case IH 15203 – Steering Valve Controller (SVC): Steering valve controller failure - Software RAM code test failed

The internal Random Access Memory (RAM) within the steering valve controller has failed its self-diagnostic test upon startup or during operation. This indicates either a software corruption issue or a physical hardware failure of the memory chips inside the controller.

   Connect the OEM diagnostic tool to the diagnostic connector (utilizing CAN 1 HI/LO on Pins C and D) to confirm code 15203 is active

   Attempt to clear the code and cycle the tractor's key to rule out a transient voltage spike causing a false failure during the boot sequence

   Inspect the wiring harness supplying power and ground to the Steering Valve Controller, as low voltage or poor grounds can cause memory read/write errors

   Use the diagnostic tool to check the current software version of the SVC to see if an update is available
