Indicates a data processing or internal communication error within the electronic steering system. The data buffer used to crosscheck the flow commands between the main and safety controllers overflows, meaning they are failing to synchronize their data properly.

   Verify tractor battery voltage and inspect the main chassis grounds, as voltage drops can cause data buffer errors.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors plugging directly into the electronic steering control valve for moisture, corrosion, or backed-out pins.

   Connect the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST) and check the current firmware version of the steering valve controller.

   Look for accompanying codes (such as 15270, 15272, or 15273) which indicate other sensor crosscheck failures that might be flooding the data buffer.

   Clear and Retest

   Connect the CNH EST, clear the fault code, and cycle the key. Operate the steering to see if the code is active or stored.

   Update Software

   If the code returns and the wiring is intact, flash the Steering Valve Controller with the latest software calibration file from Case IH.

   Replace the Valve

   If the software update fails to resolve the issue, the internal microprocessors in the steering valve have failed. The entire electronic steering control valve assembly must be replaced.

   Recalibrate

   If the steering valve is replaced, use the CNH EST to perform a full steering system and wheel angle sensor calibration before returning the tractor to service.
