Case IH 15275 – MTA CCM & APH / Steering Valve Controller (SVC): Incorrect steering valve controller configuration - Configured for Auxiliary steering device
Issue description
Configuration mismatch or crosscheck failure. The controller is programmed to expect inputs from an auxiliary steering device, but the steering angle crosscheck between the main steering valve and the safety controllers has failed, or the hardware does not match the software configuration.

Check the cause
Verify Hardware Configuration: Determine if the tractor is physically equipped with an auxiliary steering device.
Check EST Configuration: Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) and navigate to the Steering Valve Controller (SVC) configuration to check if the 'Auxiliary steering device' parameter is incorrectly enabled on a machine that does not have the hardware.
Sensor Crosscheck: If the machine does have auxiliary steering, check the live data for the steering angle sensors to see if a faulty steering angle sensor or wiring issue is causing the crosscheck failure.
Software Version Check: Verify the software versions of the Steering Valve Controller (SVC) and the Steering Redundant Controller (SRC) to ensure they match and are up to date.
Repair steps
Connect Diagnostic Tool
Plug the Case IH EST into the tractor's diagnostic port.
Correct the Configuration
If the tractor does not have an auxiliary steering device, navigate to the MTA CCM / SVC configuration menu and disable the 'Auxiliary steering device' setting. If the tractor does have the device, inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the steering angle sensors and the SVC for corrosion or damage. Repair as necessary.
Reflash/Update Software
If the configuration is corrupted or cannot be changed, reflash the Steering Valve Controller (SVC) and the Advanced Steering Configuration dataset to the latest versions.
Calibrate
After correcting the configuration or updating the software, perform a full steering valve and wheel angle sensor calibration procedure via the EST.
Clear Codes and Test
Clear the fault stack (Source Address 0x17) and test drive the tractor to ensure the steering crosscheck passes and code 15275 does not return.
