Case IH 15287 – Steering Valve Controller (SVC): Incorrect steering valve controller configuration - Hydraulic configuration

This fault indicates that the hydraulic configuration parameters programmed into the steering controller do not match the physical hydraulic steering valve installed on the machine, or the configuration data has become corrupted.

   Check for accompanying codes such as 15288 (checksum error), 15291 (valve calibration checksum), or 15292 (valve calibration) which indicate software/calibration issues

   Verify the current software version and dataset on the Steering Valve Controller (SVC) using a diagnostic tool

   Verify the physical steering valve installed on the tractor matches the valve type selected in the controller's configuration menu

   Connect the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the tractor's diagnostic port.

   Navigate to the Steering Valve Controller (SVC) module.

   Review the current hydraulic configuration settings.

   If the settings are incorrect for the machine's specific hydraulic steering valve, update the configuration parameters to match the installed hardware.

   If the configuration data is corrupted (indicated by checksum errors), re-flash the SVC with the correct software version and dataset for the specific tractor PIN/serial number.

   Once the correct configuration is loaded, initiate the Steering Valve Calibration procedure via the EST.

   Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the calibration.

   This usually involves turning the steering wheel lock-to-lock under specific conditions.
