Case IH 15289 – Steering Valve Controller (SVC): Incorrect steering valve controller configuration - Fault Detection Algorithm (FDA) configuration

This code indicates that the software configuration or dataset loaded into the steering controller does not match the expected parameters for the machine's specific steering system, or the configuration file has become corrupted. The Fault Detection Algorithm (FDA) is a safety protocol that monitors the steering system; if its configuration is missing or incorrect, the system will disable automated or advanced steering functions to prevent uncommanded movements.

   Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) and verify the software version of the Steering Valve Controller (SVC)

   Connect Diagnostic Tool

   Connect the Case IH EST to the tractor's diagnostic port.

   Re-flash / Update Software

   Reload the Steering Valve Controller (SVC) software. Ensure you are flashing the correct software version for the specific tractor model.

   Load Configuration Dataset

   Upload the correct Advanced Steering Configuration dataset to the controller.

   Perform Calibrations

   Once the software and dataset are successfully loaded, you must perform the steering system calibrations: Calibrate the Wheel Angle Sensor (WAS) and Calibrate the Steering Valve.

   Clear Codes and Test

   Clear all stored fault codes, cycle the tractor's key power, and test the steering system (including engaging the AFS auto-steer if applicable) to ensure the code does not return.
