   Check for Related Codes: Look for accompanying checksum or calibration faults that often trigger alongside this issue, such as 15298 (Peripherals configuration checksum), 15291 (Valve calibration checksum), or 15295 (Wheel angle sensor calibration).

   Verify Software Versions: Use the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to read the current software and dataset versions on the Steering Valve Controller (SVC) to confirm if the dataset is missing or outdated.

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the tractor's diagnostic port.

   Navigate to programming menu

   Navigate to the AST / Steering Valve Controller programming menu.

   Flash/upload dataset

   Flash/upload the correct Advanced Steering Configuration controller dataset specific to the tractor's PIN (Product Identification Number) and peripheral loadout.

   Perform steering calibration

   Once the correct peripheral configuration dataset is successfully written to the controller, perform a complete AST steering calibration. This will likely include recalibrating the wheel angle sensor and the steering valve limits, as the new configuration requires the controller to relearn the peripherals.
