   Enter the diagnostic mode by navigating the 'H' menus using the switches on the instrument cluster.

   If the controller repeatedly drops its configuration and the checksum error returns immediately after a successful flash, the internal memory of the Steering Valve Controller is likely failing. The physical steering valve controller unit must be replaced, followed by a complete software flash.
