Case IH 15302 - AST – AST / Steering Valve Controller (SVC): Incorrect steering valve controller configuration - Internal monitoring configuration

Internal monitoring parameters or configuration dataset within the steering valve controller do not match the expected values or have become corrupted, preventing the auto-guidance or steering system from operating correctly.

   Access on-board diagnostics to verify the code and check for other related configuration faults (such as 15303 for vehicle geometry or 15305 for GPS configuration)

   Enter the diagnostic mode by navigating the H menus using the switches on the instrument cluster

   Navigate to the R1 module, select menu H3, and select the AST system, then press the dimming key to accept

   Read active AST faults on the lower LCD section of the display

   Alternatively, connect a diagnostic service tool (Case IH EST, Jaltest, or Bosch ESI[truck]) to the diagnostic connector (Pin C and D for CAN 1 Main Bus) to read the AST subsystem

   Perform an AST Steering Calibration

   Using the tractor's on-board H-menu or an electronic service tool, initiate the AST steering calibration procedure.

   Update/Reflash the Dataset

   If the calibration fails, the controller's dataset may be corrupted. The Steering Valve Controller (SVC) software (e.g., version 2.02) or the Advanced Steering Configuration controller dataset must be reflashed by a dealer.

   Replace the Controller

   If the module will not accept a calibration or a flash update, the internal monitoring failure is a hard hardware fault, and the Steering Valve Controller unit itself must be replaced.
