Case IH 15305 – MTA CCM (Chassis Control Module / Transmission Control Module): Incorrect steering valve controller configuration - GPS configuration checksum

Software or configuration mismatch between the tractor's Steering Valve Controller (SVC) and the GPS/GNSS receiver. The system has detected that the checksum (a data validation value) for the GPS configuration does not match what the steering valve controller expects, meaning the auto-guidance or steering configuration parameters are invalid or corrupted.

   Access the HH Menu: A special diagnostic tool (diagnostic lead) is required to access the "HH menu" on-board diagnostics on MTA CCM/APH MR vehicles.

   Verify Software Versions: Check the software versions of the Steering Valve Controller (SVC) and the CNH GNSS/Guidance Receiver (CGR) to ensure they are compatible and up to date.

   Check for Related Codes: Look for accompanying codes such as 15306 (Incorrect GPS configuration) or 15311 (Incorrect Auto-calibration configuration) which often accompany checksum errors.

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) / diagnostic lead to the vehicle's diagnostic port.

   Navigate to diagnostics menu

   Navigate to the MTA CCM on-board diagnostics menu (HH menu).

   Re-flash configuration dataset

   Re-push or re-flash the configuration dataset to the Steering Valve Controller (SVC) and the GPS Receiver to correct the checksum mismatch.

   Perform auto-calibration

   Perform the steering auto-calibration configuration routine to marry the GPS receiver to the steering valve controller.

   Clear fault codes

   Clear the stored fault codes and cycle the key to verify the 15305 code does not return.
