Case IH 15307 - AST – AST (Auto Guidance / Steering) / Steering Valve Controller (SVC): Incorrect steering valve controller configuration - Steering wheel configuration

Software or calibration mismatch within the auto-guidance system. The configuration dataset loaded into the controller does not match the physical steering wheel setup or has become corrupted/lost.

   Check for accompanying AST configuration codes (e.g., 15308, 15309, 15311) that might indicate broader memory loss or software corruption.

   Access On-Board Diagnostics via the instrument cluster (ADIC) H menus (R1 module, menu H3, AST system) to verify the AST subsystem status.

   Verify the software version on the Steering Valve Controller (SVC) and the Advanced Steering Configuration dataset using the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST).

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the machine's diagnostic port.

   Access module

   Access the Steering Valve Controller (SVC) module.

   Update dataset

   Reload or update the Advanced Steering Configuration controller dataset to match the specific steering wheel hardware installed on the tractor.

   Re-flash controller

   If the controller software is corrupted, re-flash the Steering Valve Controller (SVC) and the Steering Redundant Controller (SRC) to the latest software version (e.g., version 2.02). Warning: Do not interrupt a flash process, as a failure while flashing will render the module inoperable.

   Perform calibration

   Once the correct configuration dataset is loaded, perform the steering system Auto-calibration procedure to marry the controller to the steering valve.

   Clear codes and test

   Clear the fault codes and test the auto-guidance/steering system to ensure code 15307 does not return.
