This code indicates a software or configuration mismatch within the tractor's steering system. Specifically, the dataset or software configuration loaded into the controller for the auxiliary steering system (which manages auto-guidance/AFS) is incorrect, missing, or corrupted.

   Connect the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the tractor's diagnostic port

   Check the software version and part numbers loaded on the Steering Valve Controller (SVC) and the Advanced Steering Configuration controller to ensure they match the tractor's specific Product Identification Number (P.I.N.)

   Look for associated configuration fault codes, such as 15311 (Incorrect steering valve controller configuration - Auto-calibration configuration), which often accompany this issue

   Ensure that the auxiliary steering device is properly enabled in the vehicle's configuration menu

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the CNH EST diagnostic tool to the machine.

   Navigate to programming menu

   Navigate to the Steering Valve Controller (SVC) module programming menu.

   Flash software

   Flash or reload the correct software and dataset for the auxiliary steering configuration. (For example, on Stage V Magnum tractors, ensure the Advanced Steering Configuration controller dataset is updated to the correct version).
