15939 - 05 - CSM

Case IH 15939 - 05 - CSM – CSM: Cab suspension left valve - cab suspension left valve current low

Issue description

Indicates an electrical circuit issue where the control module is detecting less electrical current than expected flowing through the circuit that controls the left valve of the cab suspension system. This is usually caused by an open circuit, a disconnected or corroded electrical connector, or a failed solenoid coil on the left cab suspension valve itself.

Applies to these machines

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect
  • Case IH AFS Connect Magnum Series (Models 180, 200, 220, 240, 250, 280, 310, 340, and 380)
  • Case IH Steiger Series

Check the cause

  1. Visually inspect the wiring harness leading to the left cab suspension valve block for any visible signs of chafing, cuts, or pinch points

  2. Disconnect the electrical connector at the left cab suspension valve and inspect the pins for corrosion, moisture, or pushed-out terminals

  3. Measure the resistance across the pins of the left cab suspension valve solenoid (an infinite/OL reading indicates an open internal coil)

  4. Test the continuity of the wiring harness from the valve connector back to the Cab Suspension Module (CSM) pins

Repair steps

  1. Turn off tractor and disconnect battery

Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes.

  2. Repair or replace wiring harness

If the wiring harness is damaged, repair the broken wire using OEM-approved weather-sealed splices, or replace the affected harness section.

  3. Relieve hydraulic pressure

If the valve solenoid is faulty, relieve any hydraulic pressure in the cab suspension system before removal.

  4. Disconnect connections to valve

Disconnect the electrical connector and hydraulic lines to the left cab suspension valve.

  5. Remove faulty valve

Unbolt and remove the faulty valve.

  6. Install new valve

Install the new valve, torque to OEM specifications, and reconnect the hydraulic lines and electrical connector.

  7. Verify repair

Reconnect the battery, clear the fault codes from the CSM, and cycle the cab suspension to verify the repair and check for hydraulic leaks.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Cab Suspension Left Valve / Cab Suspension Solenoid Valve

When ordering, you will need to provide the dealer with your tractor's specific Product Identification Number (P.I.N.) (e.g., JJAMGxxxZxRKxxxxx) to ensure the correct valve and CSM software compatibility.
