Check the cause
Check the current software version of the CSM to ensure there are no software mismatches (baseline software version for the AFS Connect Magnum CSM is 1.0.0.0).
Test the CAN bus wiring harness between the CSM and the vehicle controller for opens, shorts to ground, or damaged pins in the connectors.
Verify that the Cab Suspension Module is receiving proper voltage and has a clean ground connection.
Repair steps
Repair Wiring
If diagnostic testing reveals a break or short in the CAN wiring harness, repair or replace the affected harness section.
Reflash/Update Module
If the wiring is intact, the CSM may require a software reflash. Note: A failure while flashing the module can render it inoperable and unable to communicate on the network.
Replace Module
If the CSM has internal hardware damage and cannot establish communication with the vehicle controller despite good wiring and power, the module must be replaced.
