Inspect the CAN bus communication lines between the CSM and the BCM for chafed wires, loose pins, or corrosion
Repair steps
Connect diagnostic tool
Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the tractor's diagnostic port.
Update software
Flash/update the Cab Suspension Module (CSM) and Body Control Module (BCM) with the latest software versions.
Test and repair wiring
If software updates do not restore communication, perform a continuity test on the CAN bus wiring harness between the CSM and the vehicle controller. Repair any broken or shorted wires.
Replace module
If the wiring is intact and the software is up to date, the Cab Suspension Module (CSM) itself may have suffered an internal failure and will need to be replaced and reprogrammed.
