This code indicates that the signal voltage returning from the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) differential pressure sensor to the control module is exceeding the maximum expected threshold (typically above 4.5V to 5V on a standard 5V reference circuit). This condition is usually caused by a short to voltage in the signal wire, a broken/open ground circuit, or an internal failure of the sensor itself.

   Visually inspect the DPF differential pressure sensor, wiring harness, and connector for melted wires, corrosion, or moisture intrusion.

   Check the sensor orientation to ensure it is mounted vertically. Incorrect orientation can trap condensation/moisture inside the sensor body, leading to internal shorting and over-voltage readings.

   Perform voltage testing (Key On, Engine Off) by disconnecting the sensor and testing the harness side to verify a steady 5V reference and a solid ground.

   Check the signal wire for a short to power. If the signal wire reads 5V or battery voltage while disconnected, the harness is shorted.

   Inspect the two pressure hoses connecting the sensor to the DPF to ensure they are not melted, blocked with soot, or internally delaminated.

   Prepare machine

   Park the machine on level ground, engage the parking brake, and turn off the engine. Allow the exhaust system and DPF to cool completely before proceeding to avoid severe burns.
