Issue description
This code indicates a communication failure, specifically CAN message corruption or a timeout between the Vehicle Controller (VCU) and the Engine Control Module (ECM). The ECM is expecting a specific torque/speed command message (TSC1_VE / TrF1) from the vehicle controller over the CAN bus network but is not receiving it within the required timeframe.

Check the cause
Visual Inspection: Check for any damaged, chafed, or broken wires in the harness connecting the Vehicle Controller to the ECM.
Connector Integrity: Check for loose machine grounds, backed-out connector pins, or debris/water inside the connector terminals (often caused by pressure washing the engine or poor connector sealing).
Voltage & Continuity: Verify that the Vehicle Controller is receiving proper operating voltage (undervoltage can cause it to drop off the CAN network). Test the CAN High and CAN Low wires for continuity and ensure there are no short circuits to ground or to each other.
Configuration: Verify that the Vehicle Controller is present on the network and that the CAN IDs are correctly configured (if a module was recently replaced).

Locate Connectors
Locate the main wiring harness connectors at both the Engine Control Module (ECM) and the Vehicle Controller.

Module Testing
If the wiring harness, grounds, and connector pins are all in good condition and the Vehicle Controller has proper power/ground but is still not transmitting the TrF1/TSC1_VE message, the internal CAN transceiver in the Vehicle Controller or ECM may be defective.
Clear Codes
After repairing the harness or replacing the faulty controller, use the Electronic Service Tool (EST) to clear the fault codes and run the machine to verify the CAN timeout does not return.
