   Disconnect Power

   Turn off the ignition and disconnect the machine's battery to prevent electrical arcing.

   Locate the ECU

   Locate the Engine Control Unit, which is typically mounted directly to the side of the engine block (e.g., on the FPT Cursor 11).

   Remove the Faulty ECU

   Carefully release the locking mechanisms on the wiring harness connectors and unplug them from the ECU. Remove the mounting bolts securing the ECU to the engine and remove the unit.

   Mount the replacement ECU and tighten the bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque. Reconnect the wiring harness connectors, ensuring they lock securely into place.
