   Verify if the code only appears during a cold start, as voltage drops during cranking can trigger this specific safety management alarm

   Test power supply and ground circuits feeding the ECU for high resistance, battery defects, or alternator issues that can simulate an internal failure

   Erase the Level 2/3 error from the fault code memory and operate the vehicle for a short distance under normal load to check if the error returns

   Evaluate test drive results

   If the error DOES NOT reappear after the test drive: Do not replace the ECU. The erasure of the fault code memory is sufficient, and the machine can be returned to service.

   Determine ECU replacement

   If the error DOES reappear after the test drive: The internal safety management unit is permanently compromised. You must replace the Engine ECU.

   Disconnect battery

   Disconnect the negative battery terminal before removing the ECU harness connectors.

   Replace ECU

   Remove the defective ECU and install the replacement unit.

   Program new ECU

   Flash/program the new ECU with the correct machine software and dataset using the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST).
