This indicates a critical internal hardware or software fault within the Engine Control Module's security and safety management unit. The ECU has detected an internal processing error or memory failure that prevents it from safely managing engine parameters.

   Verify Power and Ground: Check the main power and ground supply lines to the engine ECU. Voltage spikes, severe voltage drops, or poor grounding can sometimes trigger false internal safety management faults.

   Inspect Connectors: Disconnect the ECU harnesses and inspect the pins for water intrusion, corrosion, or bent pins that could be shorting internal circuits.

   Code Clearing: Connect a diagnostic tool (such as the Case IH EST or a compatible heavy-duty scanner like Jaltest) and attempt to clear the code. If the code is stored/inactive, it may have been a transient voltage anomaly. If the code immediately returns as 'Active', the ECU has suffered a hard internal failure.

   Disconnect Power

   Turn off the machine and disconnect the battery to protect the electronic and electrical systems from voltage spikes during removal.

   Remove the ECU

   Locate the engine ECU on the FPT Cursor 11 engine block or designated mounting bracket. Disconnect the multi-pin wiring harnesses.

   Dismount

   Remove the mounting bolts and remove the faulty ECU.

   Install the New ECU

   Mount the replacement ECU and carefully reconnect the wiring harnesses, ensuring the locking mechanisms are fully seated.

   Reprogramming

   A new or remanufactured ECU will be blank or require machine-specific calibration. Use the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to flash the ECU with the correct software payload for the specific Austoft 9900 and FPT Cursor 11 engine configuration.
