Case IH 18071 – Armrest Control Module (ACM): EHR 6 lever implausibility error / Failed lever invalid signal (remote control valve) 6

The system is receiving an invalid or implausible signal from the 6th remote valve lever. If the tractor does not physically have a 6th remote valve lever installed, the system is throwing this code because the control module is incorrectly programmed to look for one.

   Verify tractor configuration by physically checking how many EHR levers are installed on the armrest (if only 4 or 5 exist, this is a software mismatch)

   If a 6th lever exists, check if the lever or Armrest Control Module was recently replaced or lost calibration

   Inspect the wiring harness and potentiometer connections at the base of the 6th EHR lever for physical damage, loose pins, or corrosion

   Correct the ACM Configuration

   If the tractor does not have a 6th remote valve, connect the Electronic Service Tool (EST). Navigate to the Armrest Control Module (ACM) configuration settings and update the software to reflect the correct number of installed remote valves.

   Perform Calibration

   If the 6th lever exists and was not calibrated (often the case after a controller or EHR control unit change), perform the standard EHR lever calibration procedure via the tractor's display monitor.

   Recalibrate and Update Software

   If the EHR lever was already calibrated but the code persists, repeat the EHR lever calibration procedure. If the error code returns, use the EST to download and flash the correct level of software to the module, then perform the calibration procedure again.

   Replace Components

   If the fault occurs again after software updates and calibration, the physical lever potentiometer or the EHR control unit has failed internally. Remove and replace the defective EHR lever or control unit.
