Case IH 18333 (4165.02, 4165.03, 4165.04, 520626.07) - ACML – Armrest Control Module (ACM / ACML): MFH Reverse Switch Error State

The control module is receiving an implausible, missing, or out-of-range electrical signal from the Multi-Function Handle (MFH) Reverse Switch.

   Enter the H9 Voltmeter Diagnostic Menu on the instrument display to verify switch circuits.

   Monitor switch states for 'd136 MFH - Reverse switch' (and 'd137 MFH - Forward switch' for comparison).

   Actuate the reverse switch on the MFH and observe if the state changes in the d136 menu; no change indicates a faulty switch or internal wiring.

   Check the Armrest Control Module (ACML) configuration to ensure it is correctly set for your specific transmission type (CVT vs. Powershift).

   Safety First

   Disconnect the batteries and label all controls to warn that the tractor is being serviced. Block the machine and any equipment that is raised.

   Access the Armrest

   Locate the Multi-Function Handle (MFH) assembly on the right-hand operator armrest.

   Remove the MFH

   Carefully disassemble the armrest control panel trim to access the mounting hardware and wiring harness for the MFH.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the main electrical connector linking the MFH to the Armrest Control Module (ACM).

   Replace

   Install the new or remanufactured Multi-Function Handle / Joystick core.

   Reassemble and Calibrate

   Reconnect the wiring harness, reassemble the armrest, and reconnect the batteries. Clear stored fault codes (using the H8 menu or EST) and perform a basic assurance test/calibration for the new MFH.
