Case IH 18358 (2660.03, 2660.04) - ACML – ACML: Joystick X-Axis Position ACML - error state

Indicates a failure in the signal coming from the X-axis potentiometer or hall-effect sensor of the armrest joystick. The underlying electrical condition is typically a Short to Power (.03) or an Open Circuit / Short to Ground (.04) in the sensor's circuit.

   Inspect the wiring harness connecting the Multicontroller joystick to the ACML for chafing, pinched wires, or exposed copper.

   Check the joystick connector pins for corrosion, moisture, or pushed-out pins.

   Test the X-axis sensor circuit for continuity to ground (to rule out an open circuit).

   Test the X-axis sensor signal wire for voltage to ensure it is not shorted directly to a 5V or 12V power source.

   Replace component

   If the wiring harness and connectors test good, replace the faulty joystick component or the ACML itself.

   Calibrate module

   Perform a software calibration of the new module.
