Case IH 19126 – Engine Control Module (ECM) / Engine Control Unit (ECU): SCR Inducement: Warning, triggered by Tampering fault
Issue description
The system has detected a condition that it interprets as an intentional bypass, disconnection, or tampering with the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) / DEF emissions system. This is an inducement code, meaning it triggers a warning system that will eventually lead to engine power loss (derate) or creep mode (Level 3 inducement) if the root cause is not resolved. Note: This code is almost always a secondary code triggered by a primary failure (such as a disconnected sensor, a blocked dosing valve, or contaminated DEF fluid).

Check the cause
Check for primary fault codes (e.g., 19141, 19140, 19144, 19145) as 19126 is usually a secondary inducement warning.
Inspect the DEF/AdBlue tank for fluid contamination (diesel fuel, water, or off-spec fluid).
Inspect the SCR system wiring harness and connectors, specifically at the DEF quality sensor and dosing valve, for corrosion, damage, or unplugged connections.
Verify that no aftermarket DEF emulators or 'delete kits' have been installed.
Repair steps
Resolve the Primary Fault
Repair the root cause identified in the diagnostic checks (e.g., replace a failed DEF quality sensor, replace a damaged wiring harness, or clean a blocked DEF dosing valve).
Address Fluid Contamination
If code 19141 or 19140 was present, drain the DEF/AdBlue tank completely, clean/flush the tank, and refill it with fresh, approved DEF/AdBlue solution.
Remove Aftermarket Devices
If a DEF emulator is present, remove it and restore the OEM wiring.
Clear Codes and Reset Inducement
Once the physical repair is complete, connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST). You must clear the fault codes and perform an SCR system/inducement reset via the EST software to take the machine out of limp mode and unlock the ECU.
