1919-00 - UCM

Case IH 1919-00 - UCM – UCM: At least one pilot head not assigned to location / Rear pilot head #1 actuator temperature high

Issue description

1919-00 indicates a CAN bus configuration or calibration issue where the system cannot identify the physical location of the pilot head valve. 1919-02 indicates the actuator for the rear remote/PTO pilot head is overheating.

Applies to these machines

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect
  • Puma
  • Steiger

Check the cause

  1. For 1919-00 (Unassigned location): Check valve assignments by running the 'HJ procedure' in the tractor's diagnostic menu to renumber and reassign the EHR (Electronic Hitch/Hydraulic Remote) valves.

  2. For 1919-02 (Overheating): Verify the CAN bus 2 wiring harness for shorts or high resistance that could be causing false temperature readings before assuming the actuator has failed.

Repair steps

  1. Replace the Pilot Head

Remove the hex socket mounting screws and detach the faulty pilot head valve assembly from the rear hydraulic block.

  2. Install the New Valve

Mount the new pilot head assembly and torque the M5 screws to spec.

  3. Perform Valve Calibration (Channel 1)

Installing a new valve pilot head strictly requires an on-board calibration of the rear EHR valves.

  4. Connect Special Tools

Connect a pressure transducer (Special Tool #380001903) using a jumper harness (Special Tool #84148258) to complete the calibration procedure through the UCM.
