19212

Case IH 19212 – Engine Control Module (ECM): Counter for intake manifold upstream temperature

Issue description

The engine control system has registered an anomaly or out-of-range condition regarding the temperature of the air entering the intake manifold (upstream), and a fault counter has been triggered.

Applies to these machines

  • Tier 4b
  • Case IH Puma series
  • Case IH Optum series

Check the cause

  1. Check the wiring harness and connector to the intake manifold upstream temperature sensor for damage, corrosion, or shorts

  2. Verify the sensor's resistance values against ambient temperature

Repair steps

  1. Replace sensor

Replace the faulty intake manifold upstream temperature sensor.

  2. Repair wiring

Repair the damaged wiring harness leading to the ECM.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Intake Manifold Upstream Temperature Sensor / Charge Air Temperature Sensor

Must be compatible with FPT Tier 4B (DEF/Urea) engines used in Case IH / New Holland applications.
