Issue description
This code indicates a communication failure on the Controller Area Network (CAN) bus. Specifically, the control module is not receiving the expected CAN message (Frame AT1G2) that broadcasts the temperature readings from the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Intake Gas Temperature Sensor. Because the message is timing out, the system cannot monitor the exhaust gas temperature entering the DPF.

Check the cause
Inspect the Wiring Harness: Check the wiring between the DPF Intake Gas Temperature Sensor and the ECM/ACM. Look for chafed wires, melted insulation (due to proximity to the exhaust), or rodent damage.
Check the Connector: Disconnect the sensor and inspect the pins for corrosion, moisture, or pushed-out terminals.
Verify Power and Ground: Verify that the sensor is receiving the correct reference voltage and has a solid ground.
Test the CAN Bus Integrity: Use a multimeter to check the resistance across the CAN High and CAN Low pins. Ensure there are no shorts to ground or shorts to power on the CAN lines leading to the sensor.

Preparation
Turn off the engine, remove the key, and disconnect the battery. Crucial: Ensure the exhaust system has completely cooled down before beginning work to prevent severe burns.
Access the Sensor
Remove the hood, side panels, or heat shields as necessary to access the DPF and catalytic converter assembly.
Disconnect
Unplug the electrical connector from the DPF Intake Gas Temperature Sensor.
Removal
Using a properly sized wrench, carefully unscrew the sensor from the DPF intake pipe. Note: Exhaust sensors frequently seize. You may need to apply penetrating oil and allow it to soak to avoid stripping the threads in the exhaust housing.
Installation
Thread the new sensor into the DPF intake fitting by hand to prevent cross-threading.
Torque
Tighten the sensor to OEM specifications. For standard M14x1.5 DPF intake gas temperature sensors, torque to 40.5 to 49.5 Nm (30.2 to 36.9 lb-ft).
Reassembly
Reconnect the electrical harness, reinstall any heat shields or panels, and reconnect the battery.
Clear Codes
Connect a diagnostic tool (such as the CNH Electronic Service Tool) to clear the 19277 fault code and verify that the ECM is now receiving live temperature data from the new sensor.
